In 2015, a working group of stakeholders convened to plan the future of The Grove Plaza. The outcome of these meetings and accompanying public input was The Charter for The Grove Plaza. The Charter was used to inform the design of The Grove Plaza for the 2016 renovation. Stakeholders at the meetings included representatives from Capital City Development Corporation, The City of Boise, Downtown Boise Association, The Greater Boise Auditorium District, Gardner Company, Oppenheimer Companies, Block 22, LLC (CenturyLink Arena and The Grove Hotel), and CH2M HILL.
The Charter process helped define the principles of 2016 renovation of The Grove Plaza including to enhance the user experience, to nurture positive community spirit, and to use environmentally responsible practices. The Charter also provides recommendations on management guidelines and physical improvements.
